Why a home studio

Your pet isn't a number in a queue

Most salons run several pets at once. Yours waits in a crate, listens to dryers and strangers for hours, and gets handled by whoever is free. We built The Waggers Den to be the opposite of that.

A home, not a shopfront

No fluorescent lights, no glass window with people tapping on it, no other dogs barking. Just a quiet room set up properly for grooming — which is why nervous pets settle here so much faster.

Cage-free, start to finish

Your pet is never crated waiting for a slot. They come in, they get groomed, they go home. That alone removes hours of stress from a grooming day.

Updates, not silence

The hardest part of dropping your pet off is not knowing. You'll get photo and video updates mid-groom — the single thing our clients mention most in reviews.

A typical salon day

  • Drop off at 10am, collect at 4pm — most of it spent waiting in a crate
  • Six to ten unfamiliar animals in one room
  • Whichever groomer is free that day
  • No idea how it's going until you're called

A day at The Waggers Den

  • Booked slot, groomed straight away, home in 2–3 hours
  • Your pet is the only one in the room
  • Yun Qi grooms every pet herself, every time
  • Photo updates sent to your phone as she works

Proven at competition level

Judged against the best in the region — and placed first

Anyone can call themselves a groomer. Very few put their scissor work in front of an international FCI judge and let it be scored. In April 2026, Yun Qi entered the Singapore Kennel Club's grooming competition and took first place in her level.

That matters to you for one simple reason: the same hands that produced a competition-standard trim are the hands doing your dog's face.

What we do

Grooming for dogs and cats

Cats are not small dogs, and we don't treat them like it. Both get their own handling approach, their own pace, and their own pricing.

Dogs · from S$45

Dog grooming

Basic groom (bath, blowdry, nails, ears, hygiene areas, pawpads) or a full groom with a proper haircut in the style you want. Dematting, de-shedding and herbal spa treatments available as add-ons.

Cats · from S$60

Cat grooming

Patient, low-restraint cat handling — including first-timers and long-haired breeds that need de-matting. Lion cuts, sanitary trims, de-shedding and nail work, all at a pace your cat can cope with.

Stay · from S$35

Daycare & boarding

Home-based, cage-free daycare (10am–6pm) and overnight boarding in an air-conditioned room, with deliberately limited slots so every guest actually gets attention.

Can't get to us? Transport is available — S$15 within Sembawang, S$25 for other areas. Add it to your booking and we'll collect and return your pet.

How it works

Three steps, no phone tag

1

Pick your slot

Open our Fresha page, choose the service and a time that suits you, and book. Live availability, instant confirmation — no waiting for a reply.

2

Tell us about your pet

Message us anything we should know — anxiety, past bad experiences, skin conditions, the cut you like. We'd genuinely rather hear it before the day.

3

Relax — you'll get updates

Drop off (or we collect). You get photos while we work, and a freshly groomed, unbothered pet at the end of it.

What pet parents say

Nervous owners, won over

Notice how many of these mention the same two things: the updates, and how calm their pet was afterwards.

“I was very worried sending my fur baby to a new groomer but Yun Qi assured me even before meeting us that my baby will be in good hands… Even during grooming she would update us on the progress. Truly appreciate such gestures.”

“Of all the cat groomers we visited, this was the best experience we had. Yun Qi was professional in handling our cats, providing us with picture updates during the grooming session as well. Pricing is transparent and very reasonable.”

adx__Verified buyer review

“The best part of her service is when my kitten does not show any traumatised behaviour after finishing her 1st grooming session! Fuss free and able to accommodate my timing flexibility. Definitely 100% recommended!”

Before you book

The questions we get asked most

My dog hates the groomer. Will this be any different?

Usually, yes — and it's rarely the grooming itself they hate. It's the crate, the noise, and the hours of waiting. Here your pet is the only animal in the room and goes home as soon as they're done. Tell us about past bad experiences when you book and we'll go slower, break the session up, and prioritise getting them comfortable over getting them perfect.

Why do prices say “from”?

Because a 3kg Maltese and a 30kg Golden Retriever are not the same job. Final price depends on your pet's size, coat length and coat condition — a badly matted coat takes far longer and is charged accordingly. Message us your pet's breed, weight and a recent photo and we'll give you an exact quote before you commit.

Do you groom cats, really?

Properly, yes — cats have their own service list and their own pricing, because they need a completely different approach. Low restraint, short sessions, and the option to stop and reschedule if your cat has had enough. Several of our five-star reviews are from cat owners whose cats had never been groomed before.

Where exactly are you, and can you collect my pet?

We're a home studio off Sembawang Road. Because it's a private home, the full address is sent to you once your booking is confirmed. If you'd rather not travel, add transport to your booking — S$15 within Sembawang, S$25 to other areas — and we'll collect and return your pet.
